Need/Concerns/Aim
India is a multilingual country where 1652 mother tongues are spoken. The major lingua franca used is Hindi A foreigner while visiting thin multilingual country becomes more worried about communication. If he/she knows that one linuga franca can solve the problem of communication, he/she would like to acquire at least, the functional knowledge of that particular lingua franca. Further, if the foreigner is also interested to know or study about the culture of the country, he/she would have comparatively deeper study of that particular language. The above practical need has led the University to launch suitable Hindi courses mainly for foreigners to impart the functional, literary and cultural ingredients of Hindi.
